Workout "Indoor Walk" no longer competes Exercise Ring even with a 60-minute treadmill walk

I walk an hour a day at a pace of 24 on a treadmill. Prior to updating to Watch OS7 a couple of days ago, that hour-long-walk on the treadmill would complete my green ring if I activated "Indoor Walk" in the Watch's Exercise app. Sometimes I swing my left (watch) arm when I walk, but I also use it to hold onto the treadmill. Has anyone else noticed a change? Today I walked 60 minutes on the treadmill and got credit for only 4 minutes on my Exercise Ring. What has changed and what do I need to do differently now?
