Watch does not indicate incoming call from the iphone

verified again, also on the iPhone of my wife and same issue. the only thing I could do is is an unpair trough the applewatch software. I did that and setup again. unfortunately no solution. This is getting frustrated. And Apple is doing **** with it. First time in lang time they disappoint me.

wired is what breaks mine. I wonder if its related to "do not disturb while driving" and when you disconnect CarPlay it leaves your watch in a hidden "do not disturb" state

Have you managed to fix this issue? I am having the same trouble. I have also read it might be somehow linked with the use of CarPlay, which I also have. I now have the combination of iPhone 12 Pro and Apple Watch 5, both on the latest OS versions. Phone calls work fine on my phone, but no notifications appear on my Watch. I even went through the hassle of upairing / pairing the watch again and nothing changed. Can you please help somehow?

It's not really fixed yet I works sometimes like after restarts and stuff. Luckily it works sometimes when the watch is farther away from the phone. So sorry to say the for me this is not completely over yet.

I have also tried to respond to this several times and it never works - just spins around. If it dos this time - please understand that. Sorry for the late response but I really did try sooner.

It also happens even when the iPhone is not in silent mode. Apple Watch does not give any signal or call indication. It does not vibrate, it does not ring, it does not indicate that there is a call, which prevents it from being recognized and answered on the watch.

I’m so thankful there are others experiencing the same symptoms as me. I even went to the expense of adding the watch to my cellular plan so it shouldn’t need the phone for signal...

That is an interesting observation Randy-12. I will check using (only) wired CarPlay tomorrow. Now I (also) use wireless. It might solve some of my problems. For feedback I have a call planned for tomorrow with apple. Using the feedback form is als a good idea. Will also do that, and hopefully others will too.

I’m just trying to make it clear. You’re all suggesting to go into the Bluetooth section in the iPhone settings and delete the Bluetooth connection between the phone and the watch? This is a fix? And in actuality that Bluetooth connection between the phone and the watch is not needed for anything else?

If this is the trick this is amazing stuff :)

step 1. is not possible for me.

When I go to settings, bluetooth, I can see all devices. When I choose the I on the applewatch the phone is telling me I need to go to the Apple Watch app. Did you do this or not?

When I go to e.g. a bluetooth headset, I get the option to forget the device.

I got an Iphone X one IOS 14.4.2 and Applewatch with eSIM on 7.3.3.

My wife has a similar setup but the iphone 12Pro. We both have cars with Apple Carplay.

I just upgraded to the iPhone 12 and the problem appears to be gone (for now). Not sure how long this will last but it’s interesting to note that the issue appears to be related to the iPhone rather than the Apple Watch.

I still have the same issue as well and I too keep my iPhone in silent mode and use CarPlay often. I also think this is related to silent mode. I gave up relying on this essential feature:(

Its been going for 6 months now.. This is not Okey apple. Call notification not working after using wireless apple carplay. Please fix now!

I do use wireless carplay as well. Still no fix on my side either.
