Why has the date disappeared from the Faces for the watch? I rely on the watch for the date ( I know lame but it’s helpful). Since the new IOS update the date features or option for the watch face is gone!

Make sure that you have the Default Apple Calendar app installed.
Then use it as you are now. I have both on my phone and it doesn't affect the google calendar. They both can be on the phone just hide the apple calendar and you won't know it's there. To see the date on the watch you must have the apple calendar on the phone.
But what if you use google the calendar?

Delete the apple calendar app from your iPhone and reinstall it. That fixed it on my watch. Good luck
