I downloaded iOS 14 and my vehicle’s wifi connection has “weak security” and I am unable to load anything

I tried the turning off phone then network setting reset option, did not work. Onstar tech tried resetting ego settings which did nothing. If I go to dealership am I going to be charged for this possible Onstar update and if so , since it is Apple’s software update that caused fault, your company pay any fees associated with fixing correct?

I mean I can not use WiFi at all, Facebook, internet, Pandora, Hulu will not work at al that is what I mean, so it is a big deal that this is happening

Oh and now my WiFi in my house it is now doing same thing. They just gave a software update to fix issue... didn’t do a **** thing

Restart your iPhone

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network

Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.

You may also need to contact your dealership to see if there's an update to Onstar available.

I also got the "weak security" warning when connecting to my Chevy's OnStar 4G LTE hotspot just after updating my iPhone to iOS 14. The short info blurb connected to the warning suggested that the network should be updated from wpa2 to wpa3 encryption. wpa3 is a relatively new technology and it has actually introduced a number of new security issues of its own. By far the majority of wifi devices have not yet been wpa3-enabled, and I wouldn't be concerned about the "weak security" message. Also, it remains to be seen whether OnStar or AT&T will, or even can, update these systems to enable wpa3 encryption.

You also said that you're "unable to load anything." I don't understand what you mean by that, so maybe you could be a bit more specific about what's not working. Despite the "weak security" warning, on my system everything seems to be operating as usual, e.g., Apple Music, Spotify, Google Maps, Siri, general browsing, etc.
