Notes Lock password

Hi, I’m trying to lock a note on my iPad using iOS 14. When i go to lock the note it gives me a prompt to enter the notes password for my iCloud account. I don’t have a specific password for notes that I know of. I’ve of course tried every password I may use including my Apple ID. And yes I can log into iCloud.com with no problem, and I don’t see anything on iCloud.com that talks about a notes password. Any thoughts, or is this a bug?
