Retaining my old email address but creating a new Apple id

Hey there, so, I have a small predicament...my Apple ID is a combination of names, with my now ex husband....I REALLY would like to change it, but EVERYTHING is linked to it. So, is there anyway in which I can retain that email address as a secondary email, and create a new Apple ID/email address, that I can link with it?

When I got a new one I got a new Apple ID I used it extensively and forgot about my old account. I'm trying to migrate from other services over to iCloud mail, and one of the addresses I'd like to use is my full name. I have two apple ID’s and would like to consolidate. Anyone now how? I have been trying to switch my Apple ID from an old email to my current email address however, apparently, I somehow in years past created an Apple ID with that email address as well. All of my devices, purchases, etc. are on the ID with the old email address, anyone know how to consolidate the two accounts? I changed the email address on the second ID to a dummy account, thinking once the email address is not in use I could add it to my other Apple ID, but it is telling me it is in use. Any suggestions?

Second Apple ID How do I create a second Apple ID without losing the first? I am told to login to iCloud. If I then change my apple address (ie use a different email address) does iCloud then add the new address and the new info I put in --- or does it substitute the new address for the old one? I am trying to create a new Apple ID for my husband so I can hand over my old iphone to my husband who has never had a phone and thus no Apple ID. He does have an iemail account that is different from mine. I don't want to find out that I have suddenly changed my Apple ID. addple

You would first have to free up the email address used on the current account to another email address.

Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

Then after 30 days the original email address should be freed up to be used with a new apple ID.
