Ordered an Imac sept 8. item received by DHL on Monday 21. Estimated time of delivery is Oct 19. Apple has received my payment. My question is why do i have to wait so long to receive what i have paid already and now sitting in a DHL Express facility in Singapore.

for the late response. This is to inform you under AWB/tracking
consignee needs to provide NTC permit prior to import. This is still on hold in
customs Singapore.
Imac delivered four days ago.

Your issue are really with DHL. They going through customs, and or COVID-19 screening. So you contact them and wait. I went through similar things with another shipper, tracking tell me going take this longer. Then next thing I know, going be delivered this day.🙄
That is normal for China, it goes to a big warehouse for Customs & shipping, it enters at the back of a big line, which is really crowded now, things are hectic there/// once it gets to the head of the line tou'll have it in short order.
DHL is the fastest Shipper I've ever dealt with.
All i can say is that if Amazon and Ups can deliver in record time, what conclusion can you draw from that.
Amazon and UPS are at the top of their game whilst Apple And DHL lagging way behind.
Depends where the stock is in the first place I'd say, & likely the size.

Not that it matters but DHL, FedEX and UPS all have same day delivery. Not sure how much faster DHL could be unless they deliver before you order. 😎
Orders are billed when shipped not only for Apple but for any company. At least you got it ordered instead of being in checkout for the only iMac left. Have your card information entered. Press process order. Message “Cannot complete processing order. Try again later.” A $3200 iMac disappears out of your checkout bag. Someone else took it out of your bag and paid before you did!!

I suppose it's cheaper for Apple. Delivery scheduled for October 19. Their website calls this Fast Delivery.

FWIW, this is a users forum. No one here works for Apple or for that matter DHL that can answer shipping questions. It's fair to assume the COVID-19 pandemic may be having an effect.
I only know about Apple and UPS, or FedEx. Probraly, DHL was the only shipper available for shipping
