Cannot delete apps in iOS14

I am having a similar issue with my phone and my daughters phone and I have tried all of suggestions provided. what can I do now?

So update: iOS 14 FRIED my phone so I had to get a whole new one even. So lesson learned do not update to iOS 14 luckily my new phone hasn’t updated

I am having similar issues with my iPhone11 since updating to iOS14. App deletion is turned on as well. If I press the “Remove App” nothing happens, the window closes. If I long press and hit the minus bubble, nothing happens either. I updated to 14.0.1 and still have the same issues.

Hey! This happened to me about 10 minutes ago and strangely it was a quick fix. I got the message saying I needed to delete stuff for storage and went to delete photos. This didn’t work and would delete for half a second then appear back. It did the same with my apps. I deleted some videos by reviewing personal videos on general > iphone storage and then offloaded a couple of apps and deleted them. Now it’s letting me do it the normal way through the photo app and holding down on unwanted apps and deleting. Hope this helps

You went too far. Just simply turn off the Screen Time. Then delete whatsoever app u wanna delete

turning off screen time works. I'm guessing you cannot deltete it because screen time was running in the background . IOS 14 is a weird update
