When somebody sends me a msg in messenger, on my iPad, I can hear it ding on my phone, I can see it on my phone, but it only tells me that somebody has sent an attachment when I look at the person in my messenger, on my iPad. Also, the little check that tells me the msg has been delivered and then seen, stays as a non-filled check, even after I can see the person is responding to me. I just updated to the iOS 14, but it was doing this before that. I’ve updated and restarted too.

Hello CaGoatLady,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

We understand from your post that when you receive a message on your iPad you can hear the notification on your iPhone and can see it on your iPhone. The attachment for the message can only be seen on the iPad and not the iPhone. If you have restarted both of your devices as directed in the article below, you may want to disable continuity and then enable it again to refresh the settings.

This article provides information on how to set up text message forwarding, but the same steps can be use to disconnect it. Once disconnected, restart both devices and then set up text message forwarding again.
