When I use Maps in CarPlay, occasionally the voice directions blare at full volume and scares the bejesus out of me. I've tried adjusting volume controls on the phone settings and the CarPlay volume but to no avail. I've checked with the tech specialist at Subaru and they don't have any idea either. Does anyone else have this problem? And, if so, is there a way to fix it?
This is not the easiest to do, but when the maps voice is speaking, you adjust the volume through the car steering wheel volume control. You need to do it while it's blaring. The volume for some reason doesn't get altered if it's not speaking and it needs to be adjusted through the car itself.
