How to Sync Music From Your MacBook Air to your iPod Shuffle
This is not a question since I could not reply to other people's post to let them know how I finally just figured out how to do this. I still have two iPod shuffles since when they were ever made for sale and in perfect working condition. Ever since I updated my software to macOS Catalina Version 10.15, My songs were not synching or if I tried to drop specific songs in my iPod shuffle, when I went to the gym none were on there. I just started to play with it again after 1 year and I was just able to get 1GB of songs on it and it worked. So the sync is not going to work ever as it is not supported anymore by Apple for the shuffle, but what you can do is connect your USB dock to your Mac and put your iPod shuffle on it. Then open Music iTunes Icon (They just call it MUSIC now). From your Playlist folders if you have any already created, grab the whole folder you choose to have on your iPod shuffle or create Playlist folders with what you want to listen to on each one of them, and drag that whole folder into your iPod shuffle icon and it will then recognize it and upload. If you select song by song it will look like it is snyching into but it is not. When I click on my ipod shuffle to see if titles are in there, it all looks blank and won't show ever again moving forward, because it's not supported anymore, but what I do notice is that the number of gig space available is now lower, which means it uploaded. So I dragged 4 folders full of music in there, I ejected ipod shuffle to see if all my songs were on there and yes they are. So although you won't ever see titles, atleast everything you want to hear will be on it to listen to. Also, the way to clear your music or folders will have to be with you restoring the ipod shuffle completely every time you want to add a whole bunch of new folders or to clear it for new stuff. Because remember, you won't have the option to see titles to delete specific ones. So you have to clear the whole entire shuffle to add new folders when wanting to change it up. It all takes less than 5 mins really just a few extra steps and you can still enjoy your shuffle. Your ipod shuffle will also fully charge on your dock connected to Mac. Also remember that when you connect your dock USB to Mac and put your ipod shuffle on it, it is not just going to open the MUSIC folder. You just have to go and click and open it from your dock but you will see that it shows your iPod is now listed in there with other folders. I hope this helps many of you.
