Every app I downloaded had a comma I place of the period.

If these calculators are not from Apple, you need to contact the app developers, who likely have not yet updated their apps to be compatible with iOS 14. Apple has no control over the functionality of 3rd party apps.
I went to App Store and downloaded the basic calculator which now shows a period in the pic and also when downloaded the period is their and works.
I'm not following you. Apps don't have comma's or periods. Are you saying that when typing on your iPhone keyboard, you can't type a period? What exactly are you trying to do here?
My calculators I downloaded have a comma in place of the period. I just upgraded to 14. Before all was fine’
I selected them from the App Store. All were free’

That doesn't make them Apple Apps. You selected free apps from 3rd parties. They need to fix their apps. Apple doesn't own the code for their apps.
Do you know how to contact 3rd party apps?
Go to the App Store. Find the App and there's a contact the developer link there.
