Apple Watch Update

Hi everyone,

I just got an Apple Watch (Series 3) about three weeks ago. It is my first Apple Watch so I'm still learning the ropes. I'm currently struggling to install the software update on my watch. I tried to download the update through the app on my iPhone, but it tells me I need at least 3.1GB of space on my watch to download the update. So I go to my watch, and it so happens there is exactly 3.1GB of space available. I've deleted nearly every extraneous app including several that I had downloaded and there are no photos on my watch (I thought maybe I had accidentally synced my photos from my phone). The app that is taking up the most space is the Activity app, but that app is basically the reason I got a watch.
