how to change the name of the device to the new owner of the Macbook pro

me and my mom change Mac books pro, and I long in to my iCloud and everything, but when I go to find my devices her name appears in my devices. how do I change?

MacBook Air ID change Hi all, I have a MacBook Air that has been handed down from someone. I would like to remove its Apple ID and change it to mine so that my Iphone X and the mac can be connected. I am relatively new to using a MacBook so I’m not sure exactly how this works. I would also prefer not to lose the files on the macbook though. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Apple menu > System Preferences > Sharing > Computer Name.
