Impossible to update Iphone 5 to IOS 10.3.4

Hi.

I am trying to update my father and mother Iphone´s 5 to IOS 10.3.4

What ever I do, the process fail close to 60% of update. I tried the process in 5 different computers, changing the usb cable to a new one and the update always fails. Always the same mesaage: "the iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-1)"

I think it would have been better to stay with the previous version of the IOS. Now I have 2 beautiful useless bricks ...

Sometimes trying this on a Mac itself versus a Windows PC with iTunes for Windows can make a difference. In those 5 computers you tried this on, were any of them a Mac?

Also, you can try putting the iPhone 5 into DFU restore mode instead of regular recovery mode. You'll know you're in DFU restore mode if you follow the steps and get to a black screen with nothing on it, then plug it in: Hold down the home button plus power button for 8 seconds then let go of power while still holding down home. If you get to the Apple logo it didn't work and you should try again but letting go of power a second or two earlier. Once you get that black screen, then plug it in to the computer.

Thank you very much for your answer. I tried only on PC, not in a Mac. I will try in a Mac and I will post the result

In any case, every time I have tried to update I have done it in DFU mode. I even tried the manual update, downloading the firmware and using the "shift" option to manually upload the file. I was also unsuccessful

Finally, now the iphone doesn't even go into DFU mode anymore. When you turn it on, it immediately goes into Restore mode. I attach an image with this situation.
