How to back up an old device that you can’t sign in to

my iPhone 7has a broken screen that I can not log into. That device has not been backed up since January 2020. But I want the pictures from June 2020 to today. How do I get those photos off of that device. It is still contested to my cloud and everything and all my notifications are still going to that phone too.

ICloud Backup Hello ! So my husband recently broke his iPhone all the way to where is isn't usable anymore. Well he didn't back up his photos on the broken device and he just recent got a new device. Is there anyway we can get those photos that weren't backed up back? Maybe by plugging the phone into a computer?

Recover an old inactive backup from iCloud Hi everyone, I am trying to solve a problem with my mother-in-law's phone (iPhone SE 3rd gen, iOS 16.1.2). She had another iPhone SE (2nd gen) that broke and she had to buy a new one. I helped her manage the setup of the new phone, and since the old one no longer worked properly, I set it up as a new iPhone instead of restoring it from the backup of the old one. By doing so, however, she loses the photos taken with the old phone. From the iPhone settings I can see the old backup (see screenshot attached): what I need to do is download the backup to the Mac and extract the photos so I can transfer them to the new phone and free up iCloud space. recovering an iPhone backup on an older device I had an iPhone 6S for work last year, that I used to back-up on my mac. Now I changed work and have given this 6s back to my previous company and I would like to recover at least the photographs from my backup, to put them on an old iPhone 5S. The system tells me that it is not possible to use the backup with the iphone I have. So my question is : how can I at least get the pictures back that were on my previous iPhone 6S from the backup I have ? Thank you for your help Jean-Louis

If the device is damaged, then you cannot backup it up. Are the photos on the device or in iCloud?
