MAC SCREEN BLACKOUT

Recently I'm facing a problem with my MacBook Pro 15inch 2017 model.

While surfing the internet or just casually going around my mac, opening applications, my mac suddenly blacks out on the left side and slowly degrades from left to right to the point where I can only see backlight coming thru.

At this point, I can adjust the brightness and control all parameters related to the MacBook, I can even use an external monitor since I can't see anything on the retina display.

I left the Mac to sleep and opened it up the next day after 24hrs, and magically the display works again.

It was okay for 2 days and now I face the same problem again.

I did all the troubleshooting problems that Apple suggests, but they didn't seem to work.

Can anyone suggest me as to what I should do?

Thank you!

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Usually something like that indicates a defective built-in Display Assembly especially if the external display does not have the problem (try mirroring the displays). You will need to have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to examine the laptop and provide you with a repair estimate.
