SD card reader on my iMac acting weird

Hey guys,

I got iMac 2017 and have this weird issue with the SD card reader. From time to time (I haven't found common trigger) it is not reading cards properly. It always connects them and the cards are visible, but their directories either seem empty even if they aren't or cannot be opened. Cards then cannot be ejected or repaired trough disk utility. What is crazy about this is, that on my other Mac, it works seamlessly. Tried also clean install of Mac OS, but nothing happened. I am desperate, because I could not find anything online, regarding this issue, where cards are working with one Mac, but not another. Thanks for any advices.

You can save you and us a lot of time and effort of playing 20 questions if you do the following:

Please navigate to the Mac App Store or navigate to www.Etrecheck.com and download the free version of EtreCheck.
