34" 3440x1440 curved monitor on Macbook Pro 2018
Hi all.
I hope you can help me.
I used a 34" 3440x1440 curved monitor before. I think it was a Dell and never noticed the scaled (zoomed) desktop.
I bough a new BenQ 34" 3440x1440 100mhz monitor the other day and connected it to my 2018 Macbook Pro.
It looks great but after a couple days i noticed something. When looking at the desktop like the default Catalina desktop photo. The top and bottom is missing or scaled (zoomed) ? I'm not sure if thats normal or just this monitor.
The resolution is saying 3440x1440 at 100mhz and it looks normal accept its looks like some is missing in the top and the bottom.
BenQ 34" 3440x1440
Dell 27" 2560x1440
Look at the top and bottom of the BenQ monitor. There is more showing on the Dell 27" than on the 34" but both are 1440 ?
Should'n they both showing the same just more on the with for the 34" monitor ??? They ate connected via USB-C so best port.
I have always thought if the with are the same i should be able to see the same right. Or maybe not.
I don't remember i saw this on the last 34" Dell 3440x1440 i used but i can be wrong.
So is this normal or is it wrong.
I hope you understand what i mean with this 👍🏻 I have no fuzzy fonts or fuzzy pictures.
Everything looks nice on the monitor it's only this missing top and bottom i think is weird.
Thanks.
