my iphone is recognised as "ptp" under other devices when seen in Device manager of windows

my itunes in windows can access the iphone, but I am unable to view my iphone in the file explorer to access my iphone's photos and videos.

Install the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10.

Navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps and Features > Optional Features > Add a Feature and find the Media Feature Pack.

Restart Windows 10.

This worked for me.
