Sharing iPad screen with MacBookPro

I cannot wirelessly connect the screen of my iPad Pro (10.5 "; iPadOS 14.0.1) with that of the MacBookPro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012) Catalina 10.15.6. I am a teacher and I would like to use the connection to use the iPad on the school IWB.
