It seems this has been a problem for other people, but I have been consistently losing my keyboard on a group text with only iMessage in the group (not sms). I have left and rejoined the group via my MacBook and started a new group text with the same recipients. The keyboard will work and then it will disappear after a day or 2. I have force quit the messenger app and restarted my IPhone. Please advise.

Have you updated the iOS for your iPhone since noticing there was an issue? If not, it would be best to start by doing that.
