My Tascam gb-10 says connected but my Mac Pro does not see it

My tascam gb-10 says connected but my mac pro does not see it and it doesn't show up in disc utility??

From the operating manual:

The only other advice I can offer would be to do what I would do in this situation -

Power off and unplug the Mac.

Unplug any peripheral devices.

Power off and unplug (remove batteries) the gb-10.

Let everything sit for 10 minutes.

Reconnect the keyboard and mouse to the Mac, power it on.

Power up and start up the gb-10.

Connect the gb-10 directly to a usb port on the mac.

If all is well, power off and reconnect everything else.


Maybe someone else has better ideas.

The specifications for this device, do not show any computer software that they are compatible with.
