Have a small problem with photos I've imported from a camera. I've corrected the rotation on several of them, but when I zoom in or display them in a slideshow, they rotate back to the wrong angle. These are wider images (2576 x 4576) but that shouldn't be an issue. Can some explain how I can prevent this from happening please? many thanks.

They are RAW files, I didn’t correct the rotation in the camera, I did it in the Photos software, so it should stick. They shouldn’t need further editing to make them stick should they? What’s weird is when I come back out of full zoom, they rotate back to the correct view.
Thanks Léonie, I'm going through them all and having to rotate again when zoomed in, but its working so far. Still seems strange to me that the software would allow you to rotate the thumbnail (even if its a large thumbnail) but not hard apply the same rotation when zoomed in. thanks for your help!
Your camera may have set a rotation tag and the thumbnails do not match that tag. Try to rotate the photos again while in Edit mode. That will hopefully correct the rotation tag.
Are your photos RAW files? Did you correct the rotation in the camera? Then the rotation may be only in the preview of the photo. When you edit the photo in Photos it will use the unadjusted original.
When you rotate the photos in Photos they rotation should stick, when you add more adjustments.
I have seen it sometimes, depending on the camera model. When the camera creates thumbnails that do not correspond to the rotation tag, that Photos is reading. Then we have to fix the thumbnails.
