Remove Device from Apple ID

I sold my IPad Mini to a family friend. When they went to set it up, it said it was still under my ID. I removed it from iCloud and Find My Device but it’s still saying the same thing. I don’t know what else to do

Old iPad doesn't show on Find my Device I had a super old ipad mini and was just contacted by someone who found it and its still signed in to my apple ID. I did the "remove from my account" but didn't erase it first. It doesn't show up on my Icloud but it shows on the old iPad that it is still connected to my apple ID. I don't care if he keeps it but I do want to erase it and for him to log in with his apple ID it needs to be off mine. How do I erase it or at least get it off my apple ID?

Selling iPad. Cleaned it off but says it’s still connected to my Apple ID. Although, it doesn’t show up in my devices. How do I remove it when I can’t see it in devices? I cleaned my device off using the reset in settings. I want to sell it but when buyer try’s to activate their Apple ID when setting it up they see a screen saying that previous owner used it in Find my iPhone to link it to their Apple ID. But I do not see that iPads serial number in my device list. I also do not see it in my iCloud account. How can I release it so buyer can use it?

Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support.
