When using a mouse with an IPad Pro, can I get the usual cursor arrow instead of the grey circle?
Second question: If one has a magic keyboard, ie with a touch pad - is the cursor then an arrow, ie like the cursor we’ve all gotten used to ? Or is it the grey blob? Sorry - grey dot!

At this time the cursor is the circle although you can adjust the size and colour Settings/Accessibility/Pointer Control.

Yes I have the iPad Pro 2020 with Magic Keyboard with Touch Pad and it’s still the same circle cursor. Although you should notice it change when you hover over an app which I got used to.
Thx. Okay I called apple support. It took a WHILE but patient woman. Settings. Accessibility./Keyboard off/zoom off. Then power down and back on or it doesnt go away. There may be one more step. Let me try and remember and add to post if i do!
On my iPad the Pointer Control only shows when a pointer device i.e. mouse is connected. It does not show when the mouse if turned off. However, the Assistive Touch control button may appear and you just need to turn off Settings/Accessibility/Touch/Assistive Touch. I use a shortcut to do this.
