Using my DirecTV subscription on my macbook

How do I enter my TV provider, DirecTV, so that I can view premium channels I pay for when using my macbook? It works on my two AppleTV's but not on my laptop.

Best to check with AT&T support directly.

Here is what DirecTV has documented for this:

https://support.directv.com/streaming-dtv/3426

Seems that the DirecTV web browser playback uses Adobe Flash Player, and Flash is incompatible with current Safari.

An alternate web browser might be an option, though most are also deprecating Flash.

There are various listings of DirecTV integration with the Apple TV app, but I don’t see anything specific to macOS.

Again, probably best to check with the support team at DirecTV. The deprecation of Adobe Flash should not be a surprise to anyone creating content depending on that tool, and AT&T does have support for Apple TV in some contexts.

Thanks for the reply.

The new AppleTV app in Catalina works great. I can see all the available shows, etc.

So it isn't really browser based.

The weird issue is that on my 2 AppleTV's at home, it allows me enter in my DirecTV subscription and then get the premium channels I pay for there free on AppleTV. But the Mac version of AppleTV has no place to authorize that.

Does that make sense? I checked both the links and neither one is applicable. They are about accessing direcTV via the DirecTV website. Which I guess I could do, but this seems like a miss.
