Sold iPhone didn’t sign out of iCloud or turn off iMessage but did delete

So I sold my older iPhone. I did a factory reset and turned it on to make sure and it was back to the screen like it is when you first buy it. (You know, pick English, connect to WiFi ...) Anyway I just realized that I never signed out of my iCloud and I didn’t turn iMessage off. My question ...will the person that bought it be able to access my iCloud and iMessages or did doing the factory reset delete all of my stuff?

The buyer will not able to use the phone if you do factory reset and not able to remove your apple id since it is required to activate the phone again. Refer to this link https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201351 and proceed to “If you no longer have your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch”.
