VPN won’t stay stay off.

I’m trying to turn VPN off in settings, but it just turns back on again, within 10seconds!

I’m trying to watch programmes that I’ve done plenty of times previously, and it’s saying “unable to watch, not available in your area”. Is this anything to do with this VPN, I’ve only had problems since I put this on! It’s things like BBC news channel, etc. I’m stuck, but losing my rag with it now!

FWIW:

My own iOS/iPadOS VPN must be turned-off from within the VPN app itself. (i.e. from it's corresponding icon)

Trying to do it from the phone's "Settings" has always had the result you've observed.

YMMV; depending on the exact VPN implementations.

Using a VPN is one method of accessing media content that is not provided in the area you live in and is potentially a legal, and not a technical issue. The error you are getting is related to trying to access "illegal" content from a provider that does not service your area.

Apple devices, by default, do not automatically use a VPN. That is something that you would configure and use. Was this not the case for you here?
