Transfer app data via iTunes workaround?

I am attempting to transfer some GPS data from an iPhone app that is no longer supported/developed (Motion-X). The old method was to transfer files via iTunes>Apps etc. But this option has been removed (!!!) The goal is to offload the files while I can still access the app on an iPhone X.

I was able to make a transfer a few months back, but can't recall the procedure/path at this time. Any suggestions? The manufacturer's (obsolete) instructions follow. Thanks.

"Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer, launch iTunes and select your device in the left pane. Select the Apps tab at the top, then scroll down the page until you see the File Sharing section. Select MotionX-GPS or MotionX-GPS HD. Drag the GPX files you’d like to add to MotionX-GPS or MotionX-GPS HD into this window and they will sync immediately to your iPhone or iPad. Drag and Drop is also a great feature for backing up your waypoints and tracks from time to time."
