Accountsd CPU 100%

Since yesterday, each time I start my Mac mini, the CPU is running 100%. The activity monitor shows accountsd is running high. The only way to solve it is sign out my Apple ID and restart the Mac. However, I am now unable to keep signed in, and therefore lose the iCloud services. Please help, this is a major bug!

Please read the following user tip and restate your question/problem in detail

Writing an Effective Apple Support Communities Question - Apple Community

When did this start? Was it after some update or upgrade? If so which one?

Have you run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up" or anti-virus apps on your Mac? If so which ones?

Boot into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and check there to see if the problem persists.  Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.
