iOS 14.0.1 Files App/iCloud Drive moving files not working

Hi,

I seem unable to transfer files between sub-folders on iCloud Drive or from Photos to iCloud Drive sub-folders. Prior to iOS 14 this worked fine and it worked on and off on the betas, but now when I try to move files the move button is grayed out. Anyone else notice this?

Why can I not move files from one folder to another? This is really driving me crazy... I try to move items, primarily photos, from one folder to another. Sometimes it's from a folder in iCloud, but other times, it's just moving them into a folder, within the same larger one! I can move 10 or 20, even 30, then the next time, I get the window that says, "Preparing to move to Xfolder, and under it, "Preparing to move the number of items", like maybe a whole 12 pics. Well, it just stays there, with a line going back & forth, endlessly! If I click on the X, it says "Stopping"... great, but it doesn't stop, just that line bouncing back and forth... The only way to stop it is to FORCE QUIT my Finder, every single time this occurs! Which means if I want to move a few hundred images, (small ones, too), it would take me literally hours, only able to do a few at a time, before force quitting the Finder. What is going on? This is obviously not how it's supposed to work...

Files app on iOS always shows cloud and downward arrow icon Hi guys, I'm running iOS 14 and have a few questions about the files app. If I drag and drop files (documents, pictures etc) on my Mac to the iCloud drive, when I look at these files on my iPhone they have a cloud icon with a downward arrow. I know this means that the documents are held in the cloud and I need to click the arrow to download them. But, is this normal? If I drag and drop documents to Dropbox, they're instantly available on my iPhone. Am I doing something wrong?

Capture One 23 export files not visible on iCloud Drive When I export files from Capture One 23 to any iCloud Drive folder on macOS Sonoma 14.0, only some of the files are visible in the Finder after export. In my case, I am exporting image files directly to an iCloud Drive folder on my Desktop. If I export 13 files, only 4 or 5 will be visible in that folder on the Mac. If I look at the iCloud Drive folder in the Files app on my iPhone, all of the exported files are visible. (Obviously, this is a Sonoma issue, not a Capture One issue.) Interestingly, if I search for the filenames in the Finder app, ALL of the exported files ARE visible in search results, and they can be manipulated from those results. I can drag the files from the search result window to the iCloud Drive Desktop folder and they are all visible again. None of this is an issue if the files are exported from Capture One to a non-iCloud Drive folder and non of this happened before the macOS Sonoma release. As yet, I have no solution other than the search workaround. Hopefully, this is fixed in a future update.
