iPhone 11 Pro home screen freezes after iOS 14 update

Sometimes if I close out of an app, my home screen will freeze and I will not have access to anything for a solid minute. Attempting to force shut down my phone doesn't work either. But within a minute the screen goes black and has a loading symbol and eventually works again. It's a minor issue but I shouldn't be having this issue in the first place since this is a brand new phone I bought not even 3 weeks ago. I don't know if this issue is tied to the update, but the problem started after updating for me.
