Blank Messages after iOS 14.0.1 update

I recently did the update and am not able to access my messages on my iPhone X. It shows me notifications that I have new messages but when I click on the messaging app, a new message screen shows up. I'm not able to send new messages out either. Is anybody else experiencing this problem since doing the update? Thankfully, I'm still able to communicate by my Mac Book Pro Messages app.

It took me a minute but I got things figured out. I had to backup my phone and do a restore to reinstall the latest update. It took awhile because of the amount of storage that I used up on my iPhone X but that seemed to do the trick. Hope this helps!

Hi all. I think I’ve resolved my issues bu doing a hard reset and restoring phone from a back up file. (Be sure your phone was backed up before doing this.)

Settings

General

scroll down ton”Reset” at bottom

Erase all contents and settings

Then you will get to the “Hello” screen like your phone is brand new.

Choose restore from backup

Follow instructions for the rest.

You will need to reset your face id and apple pay, but that’s about it.
