Airpod pro Output will not work on my MacBook Air

Suddenly my airpod pro's will not work for output on my Mac. No one can hear me. I can hear them just fine.

I connect the airpod pro's to my iphone and they work fine both input and output.

In system settings, for the sound, under input I am getting the message

The Selected device has no output controls

Hi ReesaD5,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having issues using your AirPods Pro as a microphone when connecting to your Mac. You don't have issues using them with your iPhone. We want you to be able to use them correctly no matter which device you connect to.

From what you've described, these steps can help:

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

How to reset the SMC of your Mac

Hope that helps.
