2 different wireless networks - Motorolla wireless router/modem for internet & Centurylink wirelss router for networking printer

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro, nothing is hard wired to computer. My home wifi network used for the internet is one floor below my office. Obviously, no problem with MacBook connecting and works great.

I have an older HP Laserjet P2055dn printer. It does not have wifi or bluetooth. I know, everyone says get a new one. This is a work horse and would cost me $1000 to replace it with a new equivalent one. Since I can't connect this printer to my home wifi router as I'm not going to run a 150 ft ethernet cord around the house, I wanted to use an old wifi router and hard wire it to the printer.

Problem I am having, is that I can only be on one network at a time, at least that is my experience as I'm trying everything in the settings.

Is there a way to do what I want to do?

Thanks for your help.

ADD the old Router as an access point on your existing Wi-Fi network.

On the old Router, you turn off the feature to issue Addresses by DHCP, and "Bridge" it onto the existing Wi-Fi Network, telling it the address of the main Router.

When its working, you can give it the same network-name and password as the main Router and it will operate as one network.
