my photo count on 'imports' does not tally with my photo count on my album.
same goes for video..
for example video on phone : 5484
on mac import: 5626 (where did the additional came from?)
photo on phone under recents: 36,109
on mac import: 35,681 (there are a missing of 428 photos)
this is very frustrating, i just want to transport all my photo to a HDD why does APPLE love to make things so difficult?? a drag and drop folder is best irregardless of privacy.
Just to check - you are leaving the photos app open while the mac is on?

i never really use iCloud to upload all my photos. However I thought I safely transport my phone photos to MAC album and this sneaky icloud was uploading them and downsampling my MAC book photo now. No matter what I do iCloud just has a way with it. Now I’m just waiting all my photos to be uploaded on icloud. 30k photo has still been trying to be uploaded on iCloud. Could this take years?! My laptop Has been running 24/7 with power just to upload photos.
yea it’s a few weeks now.. For
now IM not resuming as not on ac plug at the moment. But I have about 15k more to upload. Even though these photos are safely on my macbook now it’s all in Low resolution because of the silly iCloud upload. I didn’t know I activated optimisation on it. It’s a back and forth of wanting to save my photos. So frustrating. After all 30k uploaded on iCloud I have to REDOWNLOAD them by batches on iCloud back to my macbook to get it transferred on my HDD. IPhone is just pure nuts. It’s not user friendly at the end of the day.
