I purchased an Apple USB-C to USB adapter online along with my new MacBook Air. I have found that none of my USB cables fit into the USB end of the adapter. Is the adapter defective? Do I need to force it? P.S. Please don't insult me by suggesting I am doing it upside down.

I found previous posts about the same issue and most answers were to turn it around. It looks like many people are having this problem.

For some reason Apple USB adapters are always a tight fit. Push hard.
