Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter $49

If the monitor I use has picture-in-a-picture features (and I know my Mac Mini can drive two Apple Thunderbolt Displays) can this adapter output to two video windows on a 4K USB-C monitor?

We need precise year model in order to help you with the precise connection. The A1347 identifier covers 16 different models from between 2010- 2014, non of which support a USB-C display connection.

At this point, it sound like your going to need to use a Mini DisplayPort to Display Port cable to the Dells Display Port input. Then you would be limited to the maximum resolution that the Mac Mini's GPU can muster...

The mini is Late 2012 with Intel he graphics 4000 1536 mb

I don’t expect anything bigger than 2560 x 1440, but my question is will the adapter allow me to have two window spaces on the pip monitor.

The adapter says that it works in either direction, but doesn’t specify if that two monitor emulation is available.

The Dell U4320Q is USB-C, but not Thunderbolt, so will not work with the Apple Thunderbolt 3 adapter.

"This adapter is not compatible with USB-C ports that don't support Thunderbolt 3"

I want to try this to see if I like the monitor. Plan to get a new MacBook Air in the long run.
