osascript blocked?

I'm using uninstall.too (part of ExpressVPN) to to uninstall completely via command line. However i think osascript is blocked..

For Reference:

I get close, except the osascrip dialog doesn't appear..

"Do you wish to uninstall ExpressVPN (Yes/No)? Yes

The uninstallation process requires administrative privileges

because some of the installed files cannot be removed by a

normal user. You may now be prompted for a password..."

it doesn't go any further..

How can I fix this ?

I tried dragging to LauchAgents folder of /Macintosh HD (which create alias) and tried running script again, but didn't work... Restarted Mac too.

Hypethically if you've blocked osascript from "other apps" would that be a global thing ?

Yes.

But, it should be in Security & Privacy System Prefs. Maybe under Accessibility. I can't remember where it would go in Mojave. Accessibility was where everything went that controlled another program. At some point Apple started splitting it up into various categories. You may have to go through them all to find it.

Use Terminal - Not Script Editor:

You need to run this in Terminal, as informed, and then press enter?

Screenshot of the code the run in Terminal:

Yes.. i'm running as admin..

I run the script from Terminal using sudo.. so it asks for password, afterward i type 'yes' o remove, and i;'m them excepting to see osascrip prompt me but it never appears.

I did remove from Terminal in the past, but only once, and i forgot how i did it..

I did remember adding uninstall.tool to LauchAgents, but now i'm not sure that was the only thing.

ya, for some reason 'sudo' was 'getting in the way'' didn't need it

why? i have no idea... because the only difference is sudo 'asks' for password... as well.. why THAT should matter,, who really knows. but it worked :)

even though i was as admin... I guess it was getting confused? ie... it couldn't prompt for osa because i was areaday authenticated?

sudo is for superuser (administrator), which is why it asks for password. That matters for no more than Security purposes.
