Erasing phone remotely

If i erase my phone remotely- all my photos/messages should be backed up to the cloud, correct?

My phone is lost and i want to do a backup remotely without actually have the phone in my handw My phone is in storage that i cant get too. I need to create a back up of the photos on that phone. Am i able to do that via itunes or icloud without actually having the phone in my hand thx shane

Triggering a remote erase will not cause your content to be backed up.
