So, it's a violation of your privacy for Apple to warn you that someone may be violating your privacy?
Once again, all the light does is tell you that something is happening (mic is in use). That same thing has always happened when you've used your phone, you just weren't warned about it before. It's rather like the light you see on your car's dashboard that lets you know your headlights or high beams are on. You could, in theory, disable that notification light but, if you turned on your car's headlights, they'd still come on. You just wouldn't see the notification.
