Download folder completely disappeared from MacBook Air

Hi everyone!

My MacBook Air is not able to download anything anymore since my download folder completely disappeared. It is not in my Docks, it is not in my Finder and when I try to open downloads by Finder --> Go --> Downloads, I receive a message that says "the operation cannot be completed because the part cannot be found". I have no idea what I've done that created this problem. Also, Google doesn't know the answer, sooo pleaseee help!

Is there someone who experienced the same problem and knows how to resolve this? I really need my Downloads folder back as soon as possible.
