the computer ran out of battery in the middle of the project and when restarting all my imovie projects disappeared. How to recover everything?

Hi, capitu,
It might be that when iMovie restarted it opened in a new blank library. Close iMovie and go to your Movies folder (Go/Home/Movies) and see if your old library is in there. It should be. Double click on it and iMovie will open in the old library and your projects should be intact.
If your projects are not intact, then look in the iMovie Backups folder. To get to the iMovie Backups folder, follow this file path from the Finder menu:
Go/Home/Library/Containers/com.apple.iMovieApp/Data/Library/Caches/iMovieBackups
When you get there you will see a list of previous backups of your iMovie library. Click on one dated just before your issue started. iMovie will open in that library. Navigate to your projects browser (where your projects are displayed as icons) and see if your projects are intact.

It was a little bit of work, but Rich839 gave a direction of what could have happened. I managed to find a list of libraries and looked for the oldest one. It worked! Thanks a lot.
Great. Glad you found your projects.
