Ipod Touch 7th Generation - Stuck on White Apple Logo

I have held in volume down button and top button trying to reboot the ipod and it just keeps going to white screen. I have also hooked it up to my PC and it isnt recognizing Ipod in Itunes. I am stuck at this point. The Ipod is only a few months old. Any help is appreciated!
