Finder Cut and Paste issues

Why is the native file manager on Mac OSX so terrbile?

I am trying to organise some folders buy moving them.

Half the time when I try to move the file it does not move the other half it ends up in the wrong folder.

There also is no cut option.

Is it possible to change Finder for something better?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Use Copy and Move (Cmd-Opt-V).

Or, just drag them.

Not sure what you are doing but I have not seen this sort of problem.

You can use feedback to ask for having Cut in the Finder. FWIW, I am glad it isn’t there. It is an excellent opportunity for data loss - and that is something none us wants. I already field many requests for help every day...
