Apple Watch series 6 stuck in reboot loop

I am having the same issue as the series 3 users, except mine is the new Apple Watch series 6 (GPS+Cellular). It was updated to 7.01 shortly after I received it, and now it seems to be stuck in a reboot loop. When I place it on the charger, it seems fine, but as soon as I remove it from the charger, the Apple logo appears, then disappears, then reappears again. This continues until I force restart or unpair, and then I have tried setting it up as a new watch, from a backup, by disabling certain features, etc. and still the same thing - after a few hours. Its very frustrating that I just got the new watch and haven't been able to wear it even for an hour. This constant reboot cycle is also draining the battery very quickly.

Seems to working great now after this initial post, after a few things...

  1. Force-reset Watch first
  2. Unpaired watch from app on iPhone
  3. Wait for the initial setup/pairing screen to appear on Watch
  4. Then performed a Reset on my iPhone (Reset All Settings and Content)...make sure to perform a backup first
  5. Setup the iPhone from the backup
  6. Now I paired the watch with the iPhone
  7. to be safe, during the pairing, i chose not to install all apps available on the watch, and installed them later after setup

point being, it seems the iPhone needed to be in a clean slate (somewhat) so I did the reset, and then paired again with the watch
