I am setting up iPads with test accounts (Apple IDs). They will be used for business purposes and I'm looking to delete and sign out of the email part, without removing the Apple ID since I need to track where the devices are.
Is there a way to do this?
Best would be to use Apple configurator and set them up under a managed deployment. That avoids The whole issue of a personal AppleID used at all. A managed deployment allows the business to maintain total control of the devices without any use of personal AppleIDs on any.

If you sign out of the email part of the Apple ID, that will sign the Apple ID out. Or do you mean some other email part?

You can sign out without turning off Find My Phone.
