Macbook Pro Not charging
I was working until battery went down to 4%, that was when I closed the lid and connected it to charger (USB-C), only to find 15 min later that it wasn’t charging at all. Instead the battery drained and now all it is displaying is sign of “connect to charger” (Even when actually connected to charger).
iNfo:
Model: 2017 MBP 13 inch (Non touch Bar)
Charger Status : as good as new
No signs of port burnout/ Short circuit
Charger is working and current is flowing through Mac. Since I can feel the Current through vibrations with sliding hand over Mac when barefoot standing on ground
I am able to click force trackpad after pressing the power button ( only until Sign comes up and again goes black)
No liquid spill
Same thing happened last month also when battery was again below 4%, But somehow something worked out and battery came back to life with a usual Ding noise and started to charge.
Usually never had any problem neither with the Charger nor with the Battery, it happened both the time when battery was all drained
Things I have tried:
- SMC reset (Shft +Cntrl +Opt + Power) for 10-60 sec
- NVRAM (only “Connect to charger” sign comes up and goes away, since before pressing required buttons I click power to get it started)
- Tried to cool it down in AC (if thermo stat ceased battery charging)
- Tried pressing power button for 10 sec
- Let the charger remain connected overnight (But Charger socket never got hot)
- Tried both the ports
