Macbook Pro 15 Silver discoloration

Hello all,

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro and it has some discoloration up by the top of the keyboard. I've heard of it happening by the trackpad, and it would make sense since you rest your hand there when typing, but mine is in an unusual spot.......

It's not major, but my fear is it'll effect resale value. I've already picked up a new MacBook pro and would like to recoup as much as I can, but if that spot causes me to take too much of a hit I'll just keep it and pop it on the back desk and use it for recording drum tracks.

I know there's been other posts about this issue, I'm just hoping someone found and answer to this problem.
